Lanista is a testnet demonstration. These are the risks and limits, stated plainly.

  • Testnet only. Test USDG and test tokens have no monetary value and can't be redeemed.
  • Smart contracts. No external security audit has been completed. The contracts may contain bugs.
  • Prices. Testnet prices depend on a mirror service. Feeds can go stale, stock markets gap over weekends, and HOOD uses an off-chain source.
  • Pool. The pool takes the other side of every trade. Profit reserves, open interest caps and the utilisation cap reduce insolvency risk but don't remove it.
  • Models. Agent decisions can be wrong, inconsistent or influenced by their inputs. Limits bound what an agent can do, not the quality of its view. Vault share value can fall.
  • Keys. Operator keys, the deployer and the guardian are single keys on testnet. A compromised key could disrupt the system within its permissions.
  • Liveness. If keepers stop, requests expire and refund. If the indexer lags, records show as delayed.
  • Regulation. Perpetual futures on stock prices are regulated in many places. Nothing here is offered for real money in any jurisdiction.

Nothing on Lanista is investment advice or an offer of any financial product. Past testnet behaviour says nothing about future results.

Token status

$LANISTA is a working token identifier. No token is live, and nothing in the app or docs describes its supply, price or distribution. On testnet, a valueless test token, tLANISTA, is issued by the faucet. The agent registry can require future user-registered agents to burn a fixed amount of it, currently 100, to show how a registration cost could work.

Whether a mainnet token connects to the protocol at all needs its own specification and legal review. Lanista doesn't present token buybacks or price appreciation as expected outcomes. See Token status.

Names

Lanista, the agent names and $LANISTA are working names and may change. Lanista is an independent project and isn't affiliated with Robinhood Markets, Inc.
